1. I will be safe.

Suit up! Condoms are 98.8% effective when used correctly. And hey, if you think they aren’t comfortable, chances are, you’re could be using the wrong condom size. Learn how to measure yourself before taking a look at our condom sizing chart. You can also use hormonal contraception to keep yourself safe from pregnancy. There’s never a good excuse to not have safe sex!

2. I will get educated.

3. I will not be afraid of asking questions.

If you have a question that you’ve been too afraid to ask anyone outside the internet, never fear, Condom Depot is here! Our sexperts love hearing from you, and even more, we love spreading the knowledge of safe sex. You can drop us a line by going here and completing the form at the bottom of the page.

4. I will learn what I like.

The best way to learn is through practice, practice, practice. And sometimes, it’s best to practice alone without any inhibitions. Or maybe it’s a certain condom, lube, or toy that suits your fancy? Studies show that women who own vibrators (and, of course, put them to good use) have more satisfying sex lives.

5. I will communicate with my partner.

After learning what you like, let your partner in on the secret so they know how to treat you best. That study that I mentioned before about women and vibrators? Well, women who owned vibrators  and weren’t ashamed of admitting it to their partners had even MORE fulfilling sex lives. Communication and openness is key in a successful sexual relationship. Don’t forget to ask them what they want as well!

6. I will be adventurous.

Variety is the spice of life. Why not check out our Positions of the Week and find something you haven’t tried yet? Has your partner been wanting to try something new for ages? Why not give them the gift of your open-mindedness? From a new position to a new fetish, the limits of human sexuality is endless. Don’t give the big, “Yes, yes, YES!” to something you’re really uncomfortable with, but make 2014 the year of branching out. Who knows? You might even like it.

7. I will have fun.

Don’t let your new safer sex mantra ruin the mood. Instead of making things awkward, use the discussion to be more candid and intimate, even silly. Check out some playful ways you can put on a condom, or have sex in a new, weird place. I mean, why bother if you’re not going to enjoy yourself?
