Five Best Condoms for Smaller Penises

Looking up condom sizes can be very intimidating when you’re feeling a little less than average. And sometimes, the numbers don’t completely make sense. But Condom Depot is here to help.

Before you take the plunge, here are some things to remember:

  • Go for girth before length. It can be very difficult to find a condom that has the right length, and with the average penis size in the US being about 5.5 inches, and none of our condoms coming even close to that size (our shortest is 6.87!) This is due to FDA regulations concerning the size of condom testing equipment. Having some bunched at the base of the penis is far less of a worry than having one that fits your girth the best– which can put the integrity of the condom at risk.
  • Don’t always look for snugger-fit. There are other condoms out there that aren’t labeled as snugger-fit, but are still smaller, or close to the same size as your favorite snugger-fit condom! Remember, when in doubt, check out our Condom Size Chart.
  • Remember, comfort is key. If you find the size that, chart-wise, fits you perfectly, but then it doesn’t really seem right when you have it on, don’t be afraid to try something a little bigger or smaller. It could very well be that you need the extra space, or something a little tighter. Choosing something that is more comfortable versus something that fits you well on paper is a sure way to make sure your condom isn’t going to break.

Without further ado, in no particular order, these are our five favorite snugger-sized condoms!

LifeStyles 3Sum

The 3Sum is the exact same size as our other most popular snugger-fit condom, the LifeStyles Snugger Fit condom! And yet, as mentioned above, nowhere on the package will you find the word snugger-fit. But at 7.87″ (199.89 mm) x 1.8″ (47.73 mm), this is one of the more tightly-fitting condoms, and it’s on par with the sizes of our other snugger fits.

If you find yourself constantly disappointed by the lack of options when it comes to smaller condoms, the 3Sum is worth checking out. It has textured dots, making it one of the very few textured condoms that isn’t average size.

If you’re interested, Kara did an excellent review of the 3Sum and she also included it as the top snugger-fitting textured condom in ‘Best Textured Condoms for Every Body & Every Budget.’

Durex Avanti Bare Latex

Don’t confuse this condom for the Durex Avanti Bare Non-Latex. It is a commonly made mistake, but this is the second snuggest condom that we carry– meaning it has the second smallest girth. While the length is 6.62 inches (193.54 mm), the girth is only 1.87 inches (47.63 mm). Not bad at all!

I mean, we can see where people are coming from though, thinking the Durex Avanti Bare Latex are actually latex-free. They basically have the same name, and they certainly don’t smell like they’re made of latex, and their feel and taste as more similar to polyisoprene, like the new Durex Real Feel (which is a very similar size and almost made our list!). But they’re still latex. Sorry!

Kimono MicroThin Large/Ultra-Lube

Remember how above, I said that some condoms aren’t labeled as snugger fit but actually are? The Kimono MicroThin Large is one of those condoms. In fact, you may notice something strange about the name– the Kimono MicroThin Large is Kimono’s smallest condom, in both length and girth (although it actually ties with several of their other condoms for girth).

We had to measure this condom three times, by three different condom experts here to be sure. But sure enough, at 7.5″ (190 mm) x 1.87″ (47.63 mm) , this condom is a great snugger-fit, even with the large label. It is on the longer side for our list, but the girth is supreme for those looking for a tighter fit.

microthinAnd the MicroThin Ultra-Lube? It’s the same condom–even the same size!–which is why we paired them together on the list, but with more of Kimono’s wonderful, silicone, spermicide-free lube. And more lube is always better.

Trustex Non-Lubricated Mint Flavored

We wish that Trustex made these condoms in more flavors. Apart from the fact that they’re not lubricated, Trustex’s Non-Lubricated Mint Flavored condoms are our shortest condoms, coming in at 6.87″ (174.49 mm) x 2″ (50.8 mm). The minty flavor makes them especially great for oral sex, but you should be careful using this one for vaginal sex. We couldn’t find a list of ingredients and they could potentially have glycerin in them, which isn’t good for vaginas.

The FC2

Now, hang with me here. The FC2 may be considered to be our second widest condom, but it’s still great for smaller penises. Why? Because you don’t have to worry about size when your partner is wearing one. The condom fits inside of your partner, lining their orifice.

The condom might have a very gendered name, but it can be used by people of any gender. In fact, it has a large standing among people who enjoy anal sex, specifically men who have sex with other men. However, it is not FDA-approved for anal sex (but then again, neither is any condom. Read about why), so it should be used carefully and with lots of extra lube.

And if you or your partner have a latex allergy, this condom is made of latex-free nitrile. It’s the same material that non-latex gloves are made of, so it’s hypo-allergenic. It even comes with a silicone-based lube, which is considered to be the most hypo-allergenic type of lube on the market.

Caution Wear Iron Grip

The creme-de-la-creme of snugger fit condoms! Caution Wear’s Iron Grip is our snuggest condom, at 1.75 inches wide (and a medium length 7.75 inches long), and it’s the number one condom you’ll hear us recommend to folks who are struggling with a proper fit. This traditional fit condom is great at hugging even those who need a tighter grip, and with Caution Wear’s wonderful silicone-based lube, we just know you’ll love it.

None of these work?

Have you run the gamut and still been found wanting? Never fear. We also sell a Snugger Fit Sampler which makes finding your new favorite condom super easy. This sampler has more traditionally labeled snugger-fit condoms, but we whole-heartedly recommend each and every one of them.
